Rwanda Gorilla trip and culture Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival -Parc Nationale Des Volcans

Upon your arrival at Kanombe International airport for your Rwanda Gorillas and Cultural trip, our driver guide will be waiting to transfer you to Kinigi at the bottom hills of the volcanoes. If you arrive early and on a week day, your guide can take you on a city tour visiting such places as the genocide memorial in Gisozi.

Day 02: Trek the Gorillas

After breakfast depart for the park headquarters where the park guides will give you a briefing.   After briefing you will go to trek the gorillas in Parc Nationale Des Volcans.  Tracking the gorillas in the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a rewarding experience.

If you are lucky, you can trek the gorillas within a few hours but it can sometimes take up to 8 hours before you see them especially if it is muddy and wet. If your gorilla trek finishes early and your are still physically fit, you can take time to explore the beautiful lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo.

Day 03: 2nd Gorilla Trek and cultural tour

A second chance to trek a different group of gorillas to maximize your gorilla tracking experience.  If the gorilla trek finishes early, a community visit can be arranged for you by your driver guide.

Day 04: Kigali City Tour - Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kigali, if you missed to do the city tour on the day of your arrival, this is your chance to do it. Later transfer to Kanombe International Airport to connect with your international flight out.
