Rwanda Gorilla Trek and Akagera Park Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival -Kigali

Upon arrival at the Kanombe international airport, you will be met by your driver guide for the safari to transfer you to the Kigali Serena Hotel. Later in the afternoon, if your arrival date does not fall on Saturday, you will go for a city tour visiting among others the Genocide memorial.

Day 02: Akagera National Park

After breakfast you will drive to Akagera National Park- Wildlife safari in Akagera park with chances of seeing 12 species of antelopes and over 252 bird species including the rare shoebill. You may also see lion. leopard. Rhino buffalo and elephants.

Day 03: Game drive - Ruhengeri

Early morning game drive before departing for Ruhengeri. In the afernoon you can visit a community and participate in the community based activities and experience traditional dances,.

Day 04: Gorilla trekking day

After breakfast, you will be taken to Rwanda gorilla office for a briefing from the guides. The park guides will then take you through the thick vegetation gorilla tracking in Virunga, when the gorillas are located you will spend 1 supervised hour with them. Later return to the lodge for overnight.

Day 05: Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Kigali to connect with your international flight out.
