Family Safari in Kenya 11 days itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Nairobi

On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be warmly met by our representative who will transfer you into the vibrant Nairobi. Spend the night at Giraffe Manor where you and your family will get the opportunity to interact with Rothschild Giraffes.

Dinner and Overnight: - Nairobi Serena Hotel /Radisson Blu/Kenya Giraffe Manor

Day 2: Nairobi to Laikipia/Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

This morning after breakfast at the hotel, you will take a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and adopt an elephant to learn more about the conservation work that happens at the center. You will also take a tour of the Giraffe Centre to gain insight into the conservation efforts for the Rothschild giraffe, and even get to feed a giraffe. After a delicious lunch, you will be transferred to Wilson airport for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Lewa airstrip where you will be met and transferred to your lodge for the next few days.

Day 3: Laikipia/ Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

You will spend the next 3 days experiencing Lewa’s nature and wildlife as well as exploring from the skies in the cockpit of a Biplane and gaze at the magnificence of the mountainous slopes. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy has a wide range of wildlife to explore. You will wake up early with the sun for a game drive while searching for the big five, learn about rehabilitation programs, tracking and collaring initiatives from your guide. Take a light adventure and climb on the back of a camel and gaze into the horizon from an elevated point as you amble through lush terrain of Lewa or learn the local lingo and converse with the locals in Swahili.

Watch the stunning setting sun transform from golden peach hues to pomegranate pinks and sip colorful cocktails with the sounds of the wild your personal soundtrack in the bush On any of the days, you can choose to explore the area on a horseback safari or the younger children can take a ride around the lodge or spend the afternoon baking something delicious in the kitchen. Enjoy your dinner as a family, under the vast Laikipia sky.

Overnight: Elewana Lewa Safari Camp/Elewana Kifaru House

Day 5: Laikipia - Masai Mara National Reserve

This morning after breakfast at the lodge, you will take a scheduled light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. You will be met by our guide and start a game drive from the airstrip enroute to your lodge. Dinner and Overnight: Kichwa Tembo/Elewana Sand Rivers/Sala’s Camp

Day 6: Masai Mara, Kenya

You will spend the next two days exploring Masai Mara National Reserve exploring the best of wildlife there. There are different activities for everyone. You will have an extraordinary opportunity to explore a Maasai village with an expert walking guide. Shake hands with a proud Maasai Moran, and greet him with a ‘Jambo’ as he invites you into his village and his way of life. Appreciate the beautiful intricate handcrafted jewelry and perhaps take some of these unique items home for souvenirs and gifts. Learn how to make a fire, how to shoot a bow and arrow and even how to bead a bracelet. Take a nature walk around the camp learning to identify butterflies, animal tracks, trees and leaves.

Day 7: Masai Mara, Kenya

This morning after breakfast at the camp, you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip and board your scheduled light aircraft flight to the Kenyan coast, Diani through Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Dinner and Overnight: Elewana AfriChic Diani (B)

Day 9: Diani Beach

You will spend the next 2 days on the coastal beaches of Diani, Kenya. You can choose to stay at the lodge enjoying the beaches and read a book at the balcony of your room or go swimming. Optional activities available which can be arranged from your resort scuba, snorkeling; deep-sea fishing, sailing, wind surfing, dolphin and whale watching. You can as well take a day excursion to Shimba Hills National Reserve and Mombasa City, quad biking, cookery classes and microlight flights are other activities that can keep you active for your stay in Diani.

Day 10: Diani Beach

You will spend the next 2 days on the coastal beaches of Diani, Kenya. You can choose to stay at the lodge enjoying the beaches and read a book at the balcony of your room or go swimming. Optional activities available which can be arranged from your resort scuba, snorkeling; deep-sea fishing, sailing, wind surfing, dolphin and whale watching. You can as well take a day excursion to Shimba Hills National Reserve and Mombasa City, quad biking, cookery classes and microlight flights are other activities that can keep you active for your stay in Diani.

Day 11: Departure

Enjoy your last early morning swim in the sea and breakfast before we wave a fond farewell as you make your way back to the airstrip. From here, you will board your scheduled light aircraft flight to Wilson Airport, where you will be picked up by our guide who will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward international flight back home.
