Amboseli and Masai Mara Kenya Safari – 5 days

Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi

You will be picked up from Nairobi at 09:00 and transferred by a safari minibus to Porini Amboseli Camp (a five-hour journey of 128 miles), arriving at Porini Amboseli Camp before lunch. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Masai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then, take a game drive in the conservancy followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro. Have a night game drive and return to Porini Amboseli Camp for dinner and overnight.

Tents are tastefully furnished and have solar-powered electric lighting with en suite bathrooms including shower, wash basin, and flush toilet. The camp provides an exclusive yet friendly experience with a maximum of 20 guests at a time and it is fully-inclusive of all meals, drinks (wine, vodka, gin and tonics, beer, sodas, and mineral water), and activities (including day and night shared game drives, guided walks, and sundowners). Game drives are in specially-designed, open-sided off-road (4×4) safari vehicles with expert safari guides.

Day 2 Game viewing in Amboseli

You will be awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, you drive through the bush on a private vehicle into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing.  Following a picnic lunch in the park, you return to the camp later in the afternoon. In the evening, you will go on a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Fly to Masai Mara

Have an early breakfast and then drive through Amboseli National Park to the airstrip for the safari link flight to Wilson Airport at 09:00, connecting onto the flight to Mara at 10:00 (1- hour duration). You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Mara Camp, located in Ol Kinyei Conservancy. After lunch, take an afternoon game drive, followed by a sundowner and night game drive on the way back to the camp. Dinner and overnight will be at Porini Mara Camp.

Day 4 : Masai Mara game drives

You can have an optional balloon safari and champagne breakfast. You will have a full day in the Masai Mara National Reserve with game drives in 4×4 vehicles. Dinner, night game drive, and overnight will be at Porini Mara Camp, located in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy by the famous Masai Mara National Reserve in the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem.

Day 5: Morning game drive / Departure

Have an early morning game drive in the conservancy, breakfast, and then get a mid- morning transfer to the airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi, arriving at Wilson Airport at approximately 12:15.
