5 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trip

5 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trip Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival -Kigali

Upon arrival at the Kanombe international airport, you will be met by your driver guide for your Rwanda gorilla trip, he will then transfer to the Kigali Serena Hotel. Later in the afternoon, if your arrival date does not fall on Saturday, you will go for a city tour visiting among others the Genocide memorial.

Day 2: Parc Nationale Des Volcans

After breakfast your driver guide will transfer you to Kinigi at the bottom hills of the volcanoes.  The guide can arrange for you a nature walk / village walk

Day 03: Rwanda Gorilla Tracking Tour

After breakfast depart for the park headquarters where the park guides will give you a briefing.
After briefing you will embark on your Gorilla tracking tour in Parc Nationale Des Volcans. Tracking
the gorillas in the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a rewarding experience.

If you are lucky, tracking the gorillas can sometimes last a few hours but it can also take up to 8 hours before you see them especially if it is muddy and wet. If your gorilla trek finishes early and your are still physically fit, you can take time to explore the beautiful lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo.

Day 04: 2nd Gorilla Trek -Lake Kivu

A second gorilla tracking, a chance trekking a different group of gorillas to maximize your gorilla tracking experience. After the gorilla trekking, you will drive along Lake Kivu to the lake shore town of Kibuye. Arrive and check in at the Serena Lake Kivu Hotel.  Swimming can be done in the clear waters.

Day 05: Kigali City Tour - Departure

After breakfast, you will take a boat trip on Lake Kivu exploring the numerous Islands on the lake.  Later transfer to Kanombe International Airport in Kigali to connect with your international flight out.
