Uganda and Rwanda Gorilla Trips Itinerary:
Day 01: Bwindi Inpenetrable Forest
You will be picked up by our driver guide from your hotel, either in Entebbe or Kampala and transferred Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park On the way you will stop at the equator for a photo opportunity and a coffee break. Later continue with another stop at Mbarara Agip Motel for lunch. Drive to Bwindi enjoying the beauty of the long horned ankole cattle and the scenic area of Kigezi commonly referred to the "little Switzerland of Africa". Your arrival in Bwindi will be late in the evening. Please note this is a long drive of not less than 10 hours. Overnight Engagi Lodge Meals included: Lunch and dinner
Day 02: Gorilla Trekking Uganda
Early breakfast before going to the park headquarters for a briefing from the ranger guides on the do's and donts of tracking gorillas. You will be accompanied on your gorilla trekking by experienced guides through the thick forest. Once the gorillas are located you are allowed to spend 1 hour with them. It is important to carry along with you a picnic lunch and enough drinking water as the duration of tracking gorillas is unpredictable. It can last from 1 - 8 hours. Return to your lodge for overnight, Overnight Engagi Lodge Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 03: Rwanda Ruhengeri
After breakfast, you will depart for Rwanda - Ruhengeri. Your drive to Kisoro, enjoying the scenic view of the Muhavura ranges. This region has one of the most beautiful scenery are you cross into Rwanda. You will arrive at your loge late afternoon. Overnight Mountain Gorilla View Lodge Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 04: Gorilla tracking Rwanda day
After breakfast, you will transfer to ORTPN offices for a briefing on your gorilla tracking. After wards return to the lodge. It is advisable to take with you a picnic lunch and drinking water. Overnight Mt gorilla view lodge (incase your Gorilla trek ends early, you can drive to Kigali if you prefer) Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 05: Departure
This morning after breakfast, depart for Kigali, do the town tour including the Genocide memorial before connecting with your international flight out. Meals included: Breakfast only
