Gorilla and Wildlife Safari Itinerary:

Day 01: Drive to Bwindi Forest

Your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel to start your Gorilla and Wildlife Safari and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This scenic drive will take you pproximately 9 - 10 hours. You will stop over at the equator and then at Mbarara for lunch. Continue on your road journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest arriving in the evening,overnight Engagi Lodge

Day 02: Gorilla Trekking

You will wake up relatively early for your breakfast , report to the park headquarters for registration and briefing, the guides will then take you through the forest pushing your way through the undergrowth of the Impenetrable forest to track the gorillas. The Gorilla trekking can take from 1 - 8 hours therefore a reasonable degree of fitness is required for gorilla trekking. Once the gorillas are located you will have one hour to watch the gorillas.

If you happen to end your gorilla trekking early and still fit enough, you can take a community walk and see how the communities in this area live.

Day 03: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth hosts a large variety of wildlife. You will game drive in Ishasha area of the park in search of the tree climbing lions, if you are lucky you may sight them. Continue to on your game drive to Mweya Lodge for overnight.

Day 04: Game drive - Launch trip

Wake up very early in the morning take a cup of coffee and go for a game drive in the Kasenyi area of Queen Elizabeth National Park where lions and most of the wildlife is concentrated. On such a game drive you will be able to see elephants, Uganda kob, buffaloes, water bucks, if lucky lions and leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then another game drive.

After lunch you will have a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you will come up close with hippos and other animals that come to drink on the shores of the lake. If time allows another game drive before returning to the lodge.

Day 05: Departure

After breakfast you will have a final game drive on your back to Entebbe. There will be a stop over for lunch and another opportunity of stop at the equator for some shopping may be. you will arrive in Entebbe in the afternoon to connect with your flight out.

Notes: Mnimum age to trek the gorillas is 15 and chimpanzee trek 12. Gorilla permits must be paid in full to confirm the safari and are also non-refundable.
